IN THE US of A
One day while I was riding across Texas
An inspiration hit me like a shot.
I know I’m not the first who’s ever said this,
But listen anyway I’ll tell you what:
Now this nation that we live in is the finest.
From old Cape Cod out to the San Francisco Bay.
Go anywhere and see, I’m here to guarantee
We’ve got it all In The US of A.
Check out those redwoods, you’ll be really glad you saw them.
And the Blue Ridge Mountains back in Caroline.
And there’s nothing like a cool New England autumn
To please the eye and give you peace of mind.
Now you’ve got to love those sandhills of Nebraska.
Sunsets on the Great Lakes will make you say
So glorious and grand, I’m proud to take my stand
On the soils of the US of A
From the bayou to the Badlands of Dakota
And the Grand Canyon carved out deep and wide.
It’s plain to see that we sure got our quota
Of places we can all look to with pride.
Just like those Rocky Mountains stand so tall and mighty,
We that people can and should feel the same way.
No need to state my case, just go see it anyplace!
It’s all here In The US of A
Tahoe and Moosehead Lakes, more than one song can take,
All at home In The US of A.
