About the event
Public access television in Connecticut (PEG stations) is facing a funding crisis driven by the ongoing shift to streaming. As audiences abandon traditional cable television for modern streaming platforms like Netflix, Roku and YouTube, the total revenue CVC receives has plummeted.
This loss has left CVC struggling to keep the doors open and maintain the equipment. CVC relies on cable TV subscriber fees for operating costs, even though CVC is on Roku and YouTube, they do not receive internet subscriber fees. We must ensure that individuals continue to have access to important public broadcasting programs, services, and ultimately freedom of speech.
The Wolf Hill Band goes on at 1:00. Come on out and support a good cause! Suggested donation: $10 adults, $5 children
